Job Summary:
The IT & Security teams are responsible for securing the systems and data that power our business, and for providing our employees with the tools they need to do their best work. The two teams work in concert with Engineering, Hosting Services, and Support to deliver secure enterprise systems that cut across all the functions of our member organizations.

Under the direction of the IT Director, the Microsoft Dynamics (D365) Administrator ensures that Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) is configured and supported to meet Tessitura's requirements. The Microsoft Dynamics (D365) Administrator is the first port of call for questions from their internal customers -Tessitura's employees- about D365 F&O.

The Microsoft Dynamics (D365) Administrator develops and follows processes that enable D365 F&O to be an effective, easy-to-use tool for Tessitura's Finance and Consulting teams. The Microsoft Dynamics (D365) Administrator supports all Tessitura employees in their broader use of D365 F&O, including by providing application documentation and support.

This role also maintains effective professional relationships with key vendors. The Microsoft Dynamics (D365) Administrator collaborates with the IT Director to manage the output of the Managed Application Services vendor. The Microsoft Dynamics (D365) Administrator is the day-to-day point of interface between the Managed Application Services vendor and Tessitura's employees. The Microsoft Dynamics (D365) Administrator is responsible for managing ISV solutions and their vendors.


Main responsibilities:
  • Administer D365 F&O and manage the application's lifecycle of continuous improvement, including regular testing, deployment, and upgrade activities
  • Ensure there are appropriate cyber security and privacy controls to protect the D365 F&O environment and the data it holds; ensure that colleagues, contractors, and vendors abide by these controls
  • Oversee the output of the Managed Application Service Vendor and appropriately escalate to them any complex issues
  • Coordinate Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS) workflows and provide oversight to vendor activity related to such environments in regard to build pipeline and release management
  • Ensure that customizations and ISV solutions meet Tessitura's requirements
  • Establish and continuously improve D365 F&O documentation, prioritizing knowledge that will help colleagues answer their own questions
  • Monitor Jira Service Desk, Slack, and email for requests from internal customers
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly support and maintenance tasks, including manual and automated checks of key functionality and reports, for examples:
    • Checking for workflow errors
    • Posting intercompany transfer invoices
    • Checking for timesheets that are stuck and need to be posted
    • Maintaining approval workflows in response to adds, moves, and changes
    • Monitoring and maintaining active batch jobs
  • Make configuration changes to D365 F&O in response to operational requirements, including:
    • Creating new resources when new consultants are hired
    • Creating new operational projects for tracking non-billable time
    • Updating calendars, working times, and periods
    • Updating resource delegates and validation groups when reporting structures change
  • Collaborate with the IT Director to manage D365 F&O vendor relationships to ensure value for money, prompt support, and minimal risk
  • Act as a subject matter expert for D365 F&O-related projects
  • Mitigate key-person risk by sharing knowledge and expertise with other application administrators, the IT helpdesk, and stakeholders for D365 F&O
  • Meet regularly with key stakeholders for D365 F&O to understand their operational requirements, pain points, and upcoming projects

As a term of employment, the post holder may be required to undertake other reasonable duties (or times of work), commensurate with their general level of responsibility within the Company.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • At least three years of professional experience
  • Proven experience administering D365 F&O, preferably for a software or professional services business of similar size and complexity to Tessitura
  • Demonstrated experience providing application support to internal customers
  • Demonstrated experience communicating with and influencing colleagues (and service providers) who have their own goals and technical specialties
  • Demonstrated experience working autonomously as part of a technology or finance team
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems, and their role in enabling businesses to scale their financial operations effectively
Preferred Skills:
  • Tertiary qualifications in information technology, accounting, or a related discipline
  • Current D365 F&O Microsoft certifications
  • Experience administering D365 Project Operations or the Adeaca project business automation ISV solution
  • Experience overseeing the work of Managed Application Services vendors
  • Proven ability to work entirely remotely as part of a distributed team
