Job Summary
The Tessitura Training Center offers online courses to develop foundational knowledge and skills using the Tessitura software. Hands-On Ticketing, Hands-On Memberships, and Hands-On Fundraising teach students to manage, update and harness an organization's existing Tessitura environment, while gaining critical skills to support a diverse set of operations.
The Training Center Instructor for these courses will provide timely grading of and feedback on student work submitted through the Learning Hub and performed in individual student Tessitura databases. In addition, the instructor can meet with students as needed to answer questions and to assist in resolving conceptual or technical issues that are preventing them from progressing through the course.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge of and/or have a proven record of working successfully with the Tessitura Software in either a Ticketing, Fundraising, Membership, and/or System Administration role. We are currently seeking candidates with experience in the fundraising functionality of Tessitura. Experience teaching or training, and aptitude for learning and working with technical applications, such as a learning management system and cloud databases, is helpful.
Courses run every month, excluding January and December. Courses start on the first Monday of each month and run for three weeks, with the option to extend into a fourth week when needed for a student to complete the course.
The time commitment for 10 students is approximately 30 hours per course, which will decrease when assigned fewer than 10 students. Instructors can expect to spend about 10 hours per week for 3 weeks of grading, answering questions, or resolving issues. If students are granted an extension, then the total grading time would extend over 4 weeks versus 3.
