Job Summary:
The Product Manager II gathers requirements, defines acceptance criteria, and sets goals for product features across the Tessitura platform. They collaborate both within and outside of the Innovation group to ensure product quality, enable and measure feature adoption, and capture user feedback.

Product Manager IIs have successfully led the development of product features across major software platforms, with support from senior members of the product team. They have been responsible for product features that have had significant user impact as well as provided high value to the company.

Domain Focus:
This Product Manager II role focuses on Tessitura's Analytics and Reporting capabilities, including List building, Segmentations, Output Sets, SSRS Reports integration, and Tessitura Analytics (built on Sisense). You'll be working with self-service analytics tools that enable our members to analyze their ticketing, fundraising, and constituent data to make informed business decisions.


Specific Responsibilities:
  • Works with product, engineering and quality assurance teams to translate requirements and stakeholder needs into value-driven stories.
  • Gathers and analyzes stakeholder needs and business requirements by means of interview, focus groups, market research, data and support escalation analysis, data model and other conceptual prototyping, lo-fi wireframes, and facilitated discussions with users.
  • Depending on user story/need, ascertains the technical feasibility of features and/or researches alternate approaches and options as part of developing requirements.
  • Update requirements based on conversations with stakeholders, keeping artifacts up to date during the development cycle.
  • Collaborates with Support team to triage escalated issues, validating incoming defects, and determining whether additional product or engineering analysis is required.
  • Acts as point of escalation for removing blockers for the development team.
  • Attend product development team meetings and ceremonies.
  • Communicate pertinent information to internal departments, external stakeholders and/or to the product development team.
  • Provide content for communications including emails, logs, webinars, training sessions, forums, or product meetings.
  • Review functionality with the Learning team as needed and review documentation packages before release.
  • Author release notes.
  • Monitor internal communication channels for product-related questions.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to write clear, concise requirements that provide the necessary context, and having an appropriate balance between offering your hard-earned insights and not being overly prescriptive.
  • Ability to reframe and communicate feature requirements at a high-level the value they bring to our members.
  • Ability to read and interpret SQL coding to understand data retrieval, transform and transfer processes.
  • Experience working directly with members and end-users, and to take any feedback about the product as information that may inform future decision making.
  • Comfort with data analysis concepts for segmentation, filtering, grouping, and data modeling.
